Structure & benefits of the management process

This course section provides an overview of the structure and benefits of the management process that special forces use to make decisions in uncertain and threatening situations.

Phase 1: Situation Awareness

The "Situation Awareness" phase forms the basis for the process. The three areas of this phase are explained and illustrated in concrete terms using a company example.

Phase 2: Planning

The second phase is necessary to convert the best option for action into a plan. The structured procedure in the planning phase is explained in this part of the course.

Phase 3: Commanding

In this phase, the developed plan is communicated through an action statement and then implemented through activities. The five elements of the instruction are presented.

Phase 4: Controlling

The leadership process concludes with the Control phase. In this chapter, the control measures and the procedure for target/actual deviations and are explained.
