Agentic Ai: When Ai Agents Act Independently

Ai agents gather information, make preliminary decisions, and chain together attack steps without human intervention. In this e-learning course, you’ll experience a scenario in which an attacker deploys an agent, and in the in-depth section, you’ll learn what your own agents are allowed to do, where humans need to approve actions, and how to monitor activities.
  • You understand how ai agents prepare and coordinate attacks, and you can identify personalized lures.
  • you define what agents are allowed to do, where humans can grant approval, and how to monitor and disable them.

Introduction: what sets agentic ai apart from automation

An awareness video shows what sets an ai agent apart from a chatbot and traditional automation: It pursues goals, uses tools, and decides on its next steps on its own. You’ll get an overview of both learning paths.

The attack: an agent collects, personalizes, and prepares

In this scenario, an attacker deploys an ai agent that gathers publicly available information about a company, uses it to create personalized lures, and prepares follow-up actions. You follow the chain step by step until the moment when a human must respond.

What this means for your day-to-day work

You’ll see why even error-free and perfectly tailored messages are no longer a sign of trust, and you’ll practice independently reviewing and reporting unusual requests. This is where the learning path for all employees ends with the first part of the quiz.

In-depth: permissions, tool access, and sharing

For it, information security, and executives: you classify tasks assigned to your agents by risk and determine which tools and permissions an agent receives, as well as at which points human approval is required. A case study illustrates how overly broad permissions can be exploited.

In-depth: logging, monitoring, and emergency shutdown

You will learn which agent activities should be logged, how to identify anomalies, and how to organize an emergency shutdown that will actually work in a real emergency. this includes reporting procedures and responsibilities.

Conclusion: responsibility and final quiz

They summarize the safety measures for both paths and conclude with the second part of the quiz.

Learning objectives

  • You distinguish between agentic ai and traditional automation and explain why autonomy is a distinct risk category.
  • You recognize that perfectly personalized messages may come from ai agents and review requests independently.
  • You assess and mitigate risks related to autonomy, tool access, and permissions for their own agents.
  • You define the points at which human approval is required and set up logging and monitoring.
  • You are familiar with emergency shutdown procedures, reporting channels, and responsibilities regarding the use of ai agents in your organization.

Questions about e-learning, LMS and certification

Certificate & Compliance

Yes. Upon successful completion of the final assessment, a digital certificate of participation is issued – suitable for internal documentation and compliance verification.
Depending on the LMS, completion status, quiz results, time spent, and certificates are automatically tracked and made available for reporting.

Audience & Process

The agentic AI training is designed for all employees, because personalized attacks driven by AI agents can target anyone. The advanced track is intended for IT, information security, and managers who decide on or secure the use of the organization's own agents. No prior knowledge is required.
The agentic AI e-learning works in two learning tracks. All employees complete the awareness video, the attack scenario, and the first quiz section in about 15 minutes. IT, information security, and managers continue with the advanced track on permissions, approvals, monitoring, and emergency shutdown, for a total of about 25 minutes. Eight graded quiz questions confirm what you have learned.

Integration & Customization

Yes. The course is available as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, or LTI and integrates directly with common learning management systems.
Yes. Corporate branding (logo, colors, corporate identity) as well as internal content such as contacts, policies, or process guidelines can be integrated.

Updates, Demo, Licensing

Yes. For technical evaluation, we provide a demo SCORM package or a time-limited trial access (approximately 14 days).

Content & Relevance

Agentic AI refers to AI systems that pursue a goal, use tools on their own, and chain multiple steps together without human involvement. A chatbot answers, an AI agent acts: it researches, writes, books, or changes settings. Research firm Gartner predicts that by 2028, 25 percent of enterprise breaches will be traced back to AI agent abuse, by external as well as malicious internal actors.
This course differs from the AI & Cyber Security course through its focus on autonomous agents and the organizational safeguards around them. The fundamentals course explains how AI changes both attack and defense. Here, the focus is specifically on agents that act on their own: as a tool for attackers and as your organization's own systems, which require defined permissions, approvals, monitoring, and an emergency shutdown.

Licensing, Updates, Demo

The training is available as a standalone module, a course bundle, or on a subscription basis. Licensing is company-wide and typically requires a minimum term of one year.
