Specialized e-learning provider mybreev Sports & Events launches
mybreev Sports & Events GmbH, newly founded by e-learning entrepreneur Uwe Röniger, is now marketing the DFB program “QuaSOD” for the professional qualification of security and stewarding services in the sports and event sector.
Major events require a high level of security. This was demonstrated by the European Football Championship in Germany, for example. Professional digital training is therefore also necessary in order to anchor the required level of security in the supervisory and security services. These forms of training help to transfer knowledge to stadium stewards throughout Germany and to continuously supplement it.
The focus is on the e-learning program “Qualifizierung Sicherheits- und Ordnungsdienste” (“QuaSOD”), which the German Football Association (DFB) and the Viersen-based
e-learning specialist mybreev developed in 2016. With the help of “QuaSOD”, clubs in the Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2 and Bundesliga 3 can train their stewarding staff. For the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany, mybreev has designed the programme on behalf of EURO 2024 GmbH, the joint venture between the DFB and UEFA for the organization of the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany, to be even more realistic and practical for the best possible event security.
For the qualification of managers at UEFA EURO 2024 to improve the quality of the security and stewarding service, the system was filled with relevant content at twelve different learning stations, which were chronologically oriented to the daily and service schedule of a match day: from “check-in” to “people and bag control” to “emergency exits, escape and rescue vehicles”. mybreev GmbH and EURO 2024 GmbH received the “eLearning Journal Award 2024” in the “Qualification” category for the e-learning training of security and safety personnel at the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany.
Based on this experience, mybreev founder and Managing Director Uwe Röniger has now founded mybreev Sports & Events, based in Frankfurt am Main. Co-Managing Director of the company will be event security expert Timo Seibert, Head of Safety & Security and Medical at EURO 2024 GmbH. “We are marketing the DFB-QuaSOD program and have professional soccer in Germany and the tournament as a reference in order to position this established level of professional visitor safety in the sports and event sector across the board,” says Uwe Röniger and continues: “We offer a specific learning management system with specific content that is needed to hold major events safely. This includes, for example, all issues relating to legal regulations and service friendliness, expertise in evacuation scenarios and training on how to deal with problem groups." The new company provides a full-service SaaS training platform with all the necessary content and takes on all service, customer, content and admin tasks for clients.
"The UEFA European Championship 2024 in Germany has once again confirmed to us that there is an urgent need for action in the private security sector to improve both the quantity and quality of training.
Unfortunately, there are still legal requirements in the security ordinance for certain activities at major events. This means that theoretically trained personnel with no practical experience have to be deployed,” says Timo Seibert. Politicians must therefore also understand that the framework conditions have completely changed and that the target group of so-called stewards has changed, especially when we are talking about event security services. Ulrich Hofmann from the DFB inspection body for QuaSOD will support us in this, as he has done for years, because this is also about secure and transparent inspection while guaranteeing all data protection regulations. The common goal of Timo Seibert and Uwe Röniger is therefore to continue to promote the fact that there are already good solutions that, thanks to the DFB, can now also be used outside of soccer.
